1967 Kentucky Derby Proud Clarion

This photograph shows Proud Clarion with Ron Ussery aboard, holding off Barbs Delight and upsetting Damascus to win the 1967 Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. The "Run For The Roses" is considered America's premier horse race, always drawing crowds in excess of 100,000. This horse race has earned the nickname of being the "Fastest Two Minutes In Sports".
