Secretariat Triple Crown Mini Triple Unsigned
This framed collectible contains 3 custom photographs commemorating the 1973 Triple Crown victories by 3 year old star Secretariat. Ridden by Ron Turcotte and trained by Lucien Laurin, the 3 year old powerhouse annexed the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes in a manner not witnessed since the days of Count Fleet. "Big Red" destroyed all the competition, setting the track record at the "Run for the Roses". Secretariat should have the track record at Pimlico Race Course in the Preakness, but for a misfiring teletimer. His Triple Crown sweep was completed with a world record tour de force, winning the Belmont Stakes by 31 & 1/2 lengths in a final time of 2:24 flat, a record that no horse has come within 10 lengths of. A performance that became the benchmark that all great horses were compared to. These photographs are double matted with double matted key ways describing each race as well as a double matted title key way above the photographs. This collectible is framed in a beautiful mahogany frame ready for hanging in your home or office.
